Notes
Braden Looper's first start since his fantastic start to the season last appearance. He loaded the bases in the first two innings, then gave up a 2 run home run to Randall Simon, then was later pulled two batters later. On the flip side, Doug Waetcher matched everything Looper did. It came down to the relief pitchers at the end, with Tim Spooneybarger giving up a home run to Sean Burroughs and Willy Mo Pena. Doug Mientkiewicz also homered his 5th one of the season.

Carlos Zambrano went out for the Roughnecks, only to be ousted on a home run by Shannon Stewart. Ben Grieve continued to be hot by hitting 5-5 in his last 5 at bats.
