Six of the first seven batters in the inning got on base, then was capped off by Marcus Giles' 2-run homw run.

Notes
Virginia hoped to become the sole leader of the league, but would have to go through an Austin team that wasn't an easy team to beat. Austin loaded the bases on Braden Looper, but he pitched out of it. in the bottom of the first, Hall, Bigbie, and Crosby rbi'd home a run each. Zeros were put up the rest of the game. Matt Anderson recorded his 3rd save of the year.
