With the return of CBL, Portland unveils their new banner, Then Austin shows up being a party pooper. Eric Munson got a triple in the second, who scored on a Preston Wilson double. Matt Lecroy hit him in on his double. Juan Encarnacion went 2-2 with a double, that scored Jermaine Dye. It was anyones game, but new pick up Junior Spivey hits a homerun into deep PGE Park. Bradford came in for the save. These teams could be very interesting.

Omaha came in trying to prove that they're not just a normal expansion team. They have a potent offence, and maybe one of the best starting pitcher in the league. But Chuck James was one of the best last season, and they'd have to go through him. It was tied going into the 5th, at 2-2. Then James let the flood gates open. He gave up 2 walks, and a single, double, and a triple. That was 4 runs, and enough to have a comfortable lead going into the bottom frame. First batter, Shannon Stewart hits it onto the hill at Champions Stadium in Orlando. Omaha put in their number one reliever in, Jorge Julio, whi gave up a run of his own, but settled down and ended it.
